Botulinum Toxin
What is it about?
Botox is just one of the multiple commercial brands of the botulinum Toxin, which is a selective paralyzer of the muscles to completely erase, in a temporal way, the wrinkles caused by the facial muscles. The areas where it may be applied are: between the eyebrows, crow's feet (laugh lines or character lines), vertical and horizontal wrinkles on the forehead and neck.
Who are eligible?
Patients who do not wish to submit to a surgical procedure or lack of time for recuperation. Also those who from young ages prevent skin damage from constant wrinkle formation.
Procedure
The application generally lasts less than 10 minutes, using really small syringes to apply the product in specific muscles.
Results and Recuperation
The results are evident after the first week of the application and last for six months, time in which the patient may repeat the procedure if they so wish. It does not require time of recuperation. No evidence exists of application, even on the first day of the application, therefore not interfering with daily activities.
